Viewing 3D IGES images

Editions

IGES vector files can contain two-dimensional and three-dimensional information on multiple pages. Depending on the type of data within the IGES file, you can set different display options:

· The image can be loaded initially as a 2D projection view or as a 3D model view.

• The image can be loaded onto one page with one projected view.

· The image can be loaded onto eight pages, each showing a different projected view of the 3D image.

Some of these options may have no effect. For example, the 2D projection view setting is ignored if the file does not contain 2D data.

To select an option for displaying 3D IGES images:

1. Choose Preference image\arrow_shg.gif Options.

2. Click the image\plus_shg.gif beside Format.

3. Click IGES.

4. To set the initial display of the image, click 2D Projection or 3D Model.

5. To view 3D images on one page, clear the Show All Orthogonal Views check box. To display 3D images with different views on eight pages, select the Show All Orthogonal Views check box.

6. Click Save. Click OK.

IGES files that are subsequently opened will be displayed as specified. Currently open IGES files are not affected.
