Using ODMA

All Editions

ODMA is a generic database management system that allows integrators to hook a database into other programs. If you want to use ODMA with Imagenation, you must set it up in the registry, and select it in the Preference Options dialog box.

To use ODMA with Imagenation:

1. Choose Preference image\arrow_shg.gif Options.

2. Click the image\plus_shg.gif beside System.

3. Click Services.

4. Select the ODMA check box.

5. Click Save. Click OK.

6. In the Windows Registry (Regedit.exe), set:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Imagenation.App\ODMA32\DMSID

where DMSID is a value, such as "DMSKEY". DMSKEY is the document management server key created by a third-party EDMS vendor, and can be any name required.

The DMSID value is found in the HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ODMA32\DMSKEY\"value.dll", where "value.dll" is the value of the key, which is the third-party vendor's ODMA interface DLL.

Imagenation will now use ODMA with commands such as Open, Save, Import, and Export.
