Imagenation recognizes command line sequences that start with a - (or, on Windows only, that start with a / ) and are followed by either a single character or a string--with no spaces in between. Imagenation accepts the following sequences:
Sequence |
Meaning |
Automation |
Sent by the system only. Indicates that Imagenation is being invoked by OLE. |
b or B |
The base directory where images are stored, used in conjunction with file names |
Batch |
Runs predefined batch commands without opening the full Imagenation UI. Imagenation appears minimized in the task bar during processing. For details on batches, see Creating and processing batches. |
d or D |
Loads the following ODMA document. |
Embedding |
Sent by the system only. Indicates that Imagenation is being invoked by OLE. |
f or F |
Opens the given files for viewing in Imagenation |
g or G |
Indicates the CFG file used to configure Imagenation |
i or I |
Indicates the INI file used to configure Imagenation |
m or M |
Opens the given files in one window, as a multipage document. |
z or Z |
Permits multiple instances of Imagenation to run on the same computer. |
The -G option and the -I options are not recognized if Imagenation is already running. Once Imagenation is running you can only open files. An exception to this occurs if the –z option is used.
If the command line parser encounters an option which does not start with a - (or a /), then it assumes it is a file name and tries to open it. Therefore, file names do not need to be qualified with the -F sequence.
