Scaling IGES images

By default, the Scale To Fit option is selected for IGES files. This has the following effect:

· On open, IGES images are scaled to E-size and display at 1200 dpi.

· On import, IGES images display at the same resolution as and are scaled to fit over the raster image on the page, if any.

The resolution of imported IGES images is not affected by the Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load keyname.

If you prefer, you can disable the automatic scaling of IGES images and define a specific scale factor for them.

To define an input scale factor for IGS images:

1. Choose Preference $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Options.

2. Click the $image\plus_shg.gif$ beside Format.

3. Click IGES.

3. Under Scaling, click Scale Factor.

4. After "1 Unit =", type or select the scale factor to apply to IGES images on open. Select the equivalent size to use in cm or inches.

5. Click Save. Click OK.

Newly opened IGES images will be displayed at the specified scale factor. (Currently open IGES images are not affected.)
