By default, the Scale To Fit option is selected for CGM files in the Preference Options dialog box. This has the following effect:
· On open, CGM images are scaled to E-size and are displayed at 1200 dpi.
· On import, CGM images display at the same resolution as, and are scaled to fit over, the raster image on the page, if any.
The resolution of imported CGM images is not affected by the Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load keyname in the [File] section of the Image.ini file.
If you prefer, you can disable the automatic scaling of CGM images and define a specific scale factor for them.
To define an input scale factor for CGM images:
1. Choose Preference
Options.
2. Click the
beside
Format.
3. Click CGM.
4. Under Scaling, click Scale Factor.
5. After "1 Unit =", type or select the scale factor to apply to CGM images on open. Select the equivalent value in inches or cm.
6. Click Save. Click OK.
Newly opened CGM images will be displayed at the specified scale factor. (Currently open CGM images are not affected.)
