Scaling Auto-trol DG images

Editions

By default, the Scale To Fit option is selected for Auto-trol DG files in the Preference Options dialog box. This has the following effect:

· On open, Auto-trol images are scaled to E-size and are displayed at 1200 dpi.

· On import, Auto-trol images are scaled to fit over the raster image on the page, if any.

The resolution of imported Auto-trol images is defined by the Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load keyname in the [File] section.

· If "Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load=1" (the default), the resolution of the imported Auto-trol images changes to match that of the raster image in the window, if any.

· If "Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load=0", the resolution of the imported Auto-trol images stays at 1200 dpi.

If you prefer, you can disable automatic scaling of Auto-trol DG images and define a specific scale factor for them.

To define an input scale factor for Auto-trol DG images:

1. Choose Preference image\arrow_shg.gif Options.

2. Click the image\plus_shg.gif beside Format.

3. Click Auto-trol DG.

3. Under Scaling, click Scale Factor.

4. After "1 Unit =", type or select the scale factor to apply to Auto-trol DG images on open. Select the equivalent size in inches or cm.

5. Click Save. Click OK.

Newly opened Auto-trol DG images will be displayed at the specified scale factor. (Currently open Auto-trol DG images are not affected.)
