Loading external references in AutoCAD files

You can specify one or more directories that Imagenation will search for external references in AutoCAD (DXF-format and DWG-format) files.

To define the location of AutoCAD external references:

1. Choose Preference $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Options.

2. Click the $image\plus_shg.gif$ beside Format.

3. Click AutoCAD.

4. In the XREF Search Path text box, type the names of the directories to search separated by semicolons, or select them using the Browse button.

5. Click Save. Click OK.

When external references are contained in AutoCAD files, the specified directories will be searched along with the ones specified in the file, the directory of the file, the system path, and the Acad directory.
