In AutoCAD, layers can be hidden or displayed (as in Imagenation), but they can also be frozen. Objects on frozen layers are not displayed or plotted. Layers are typically frozen when the AutoCAD user wants them to be hidden for long periods of time, instead of just for temporary referencing or plotting.
In Imagenation, you can choose whether hidden layers in AutoCAD files are ignored or taken into account in image scaling.
To define how Imagenation handles frozen layers in AutoCAD files:
1. Choose Preference
Options.
2. Click the
beside Format.
3. Click AutoCAD.
3. Select or clear the Ignore Objects on Frozen Layers check box.
When the check box is selected, objects on frozen layers are not displayed and cannot be retrieved. When the check box is cleared, the objects still are not displayed, but they are included in MER calculations, and they can affect image scaling.
4. Click Save. Click OK.
Frozen layers in future AutoCAD images are handled as specified. (Currently open AutoCAD images are not affected.)
