Displaying hatch patterns

Editions

In Imagenation, you can draw objects with hatch pattern fills. These fills consist of parallel line segments that are in a raster hatching format. However, ME10-format and HPGL-format files can also contain vector hatch patterns that you can view by using the proper Image.ini settings.

To view vector hatch patterns:

1. Choose Preference image\arrow_shg.gif Options.

2. Click the image\plus_shg.gif beside Format.

3. Click Calcomp/HPGL.

4. Under Use Embedded Pen Settings, make sure that the Hatching check box is selected.

5. Click Save. Click OK.

6. Close Imagenation.

7. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.

8. In the [System] section, find the Use Vector-Based Hatching= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type 1. This activates vector hatches.

9. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.

When you restart Imagenation, vector hatch patterns can be viewed. Furthermore, any hatch-filled object that you draw will be vector-based, even though it looks like the normal raster hatch pattern fill. However, images with vector hatch patterns will not load as quickly.
