You can change which tool is used by default for measuring, which fields are displayed in the window, and the decimal accuracy of the measurements.

To change the default measurement options:

1. Choose Preference image\arrow_shg.gif Options.

2. Click the image\plus_shg.gif beside View.

3. Click Measurements.

4. From the Tool list, select the tool to measure with by default: Line, Sketch, Polyline, Arc, Box, Circle, Ellipse, or Polygon. Upon first use of the Measurements window, the default tool is indicated with a check mark in the right mouse button menu. Thereafter, the check mark indicates the last measuring tool used during the current session.

5. From the Accuracy list, select the number of digits to display after the decimal points in the Measurements window.

6. Under Show, select the check boxes of the fields to display in the Measurements window. Clear the check boxes of those to remove. For details about each option, click the Help button in the dialog box.

7. Enable or disable the Snap to Object feature. To set options, click Settings. For details, see Setting Snap To Object options.

8. Click Save. Click OK.

The selections are applied immediately to the Measurements window (if displayed).

You can also change which fonts are used in the Measurements window, by editing the Image.ini file.

To change the Measurements window fonts:

1. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.

2. Under the [System] section, find the Measurement Window Font Face= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type the name of the font to use.

Example: Measurement Window Font Face=Arial

3. Find the "Measurement Window Font Size=" keyname. After the equal sign, type the size of the font in points.

4. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.

When you restart Imagenation, the font that you specified is used in the Measurements window.
