Overwriting active documents with new rasters

Editions

When you create new rasters with the Raster menu commands, by default Imagenation places the raster in a new document window. You may want this newly modified document to overwrite the original, especially in a document management system.

To overwrite active documents with new documents:

1. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.

2. In the [System] section, find the OverWrite Raster= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type 1.

You will not be warned that the old document will be replaced when this keyname is set to 1. Also, this keyname can be locked through the Imagenation source file, in which case changing its value has no effect.

3. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.

When you restart Imagenation, raster images will be overwritten after raster operations, The remove merged layers keyname can be used when the "OverWrite Raster" keyname is set to 1. It controls whether layers are deleted after being rasterized. This keyname is useful in a database system, where the database must continue to track all layers.
