Hotspot Behavior

Hotspots are more complex Imagenation objects that can be used to perform various actions (such as zooming in or opening files). On the Windows operating system, you can use hotspots with the Spicer Hotspot.exe program that is installed with Imagenation. This program responds to hotspot activations.

The following topics explain how to customize some aspects of hotspot behavior in your application. See the Imagenation Help and the various Imagenation API Help files for more information.

Prompting for hotspot data

Define whether Imagenation prompts the user for data on hotspot placement, and how the Hotspot Data dialog box is displayed.

Placing a hotspot

Place hotspots in Imagenation.

Viewing AutoCAD Extended Entity Data

Use the Spicer Hotspot program to view Xdata in AutoCAD files.

Placing hotspots in a text document

Find out how to format annotations and comments in Word and WordPerfect files to make them show up as hotspots in Imagenation.
