Placing a hotspot

Editions

Before you can place hotspots, you must have an active edit layer on top of the page (Layer image\lgarrow_shg.gif New).

To place a hotspot:

1. Choose Tool image\lgarrow_shg.gif Hotspot.

Note that the Hotspot shape is specified in the Status Bar.

2. On the active edit layer, draw the hotspot according to its shape. For details, click Drawing hotspots.

3. If the Hotspot Data dialog box appears, type the text required by the linked hotspot program. If using Spicer Hotspot.exe, click Hotspot.exe data for specifics. Click OK.

As long as the Hotspots check box is selected in the Show category of the View Options dialog box, the hotspot appears where you placed it. (Otherwise it is hidden.) The Hotspot tool remains active.
