Imagenation can be customized to work with OCR programs. Typically, the Imagenation File menu will then contain an OCR command, with Region and Page sub-commands.
You can define what raster format selected OCR regions are saved under. It should be a format supported by your OCR program. The default is TIFF LSB - CCITT Group 4.
To change the output format of OCR regions:
1. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.
2. In the [File] section, find the OCR Region Raster Format= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type the API number corresponding to the raster format to use.
3. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.
When you restart Imagenation, the next OCR region selected will be saved under the format you specified.
