Text objects and annotation text can be displayed against the image background in one of three ways:

2 |

The default value is 0.
To erase the background behind the text and spaces of text objects:
1. Choose Preference
Options.
2. Click the
beside Tool.
3. Click Text.
3. Select the Erase Background check box.
4. Click Save. Click OK.
The text on all future edit layers will be displayed with the background
erased. (The active edit layer is not affected.) To change that option
for the active edit layer, select the same option in the Tool Options
dialog box (Tool
Options).
To set text objects to erase the background behind text, but not spaces, and to set how annotation text is displayed:
1. Close Imagenation, if it is running.
2. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.
In the [Tool] section:
3. Find the Text Background Mode= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type 1.
4. Find the Annotation Background Mode= keyname. After the equal sign, type the value that represents the display you want.
5. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.
When you restart Imagenation, placed text objects and annotations will be displayed as you specified. (Current text objects and annotations are not affected.)
The Text Greeking Threshold keyname in the [System] section also affects the display of text. It defines the height at which text is displayed as blocks. Blocks are displayed more rapidly than text. The default value is 2. You can increase this value to accelerate the display of text, but obviously the text will look less distinct at that height or less.
