Defining additional line and frame styles

Editions

In the Preference Options dialog box, you can select from a standard set of line and frame styles for different objects. You can also create additional line and frame styles using the Image.ini file.

To define custom line and frame styles:

1. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.

2. In the [Dashed Lines] section, use the following syntax to define additional line and frame styles:

name=centermode units +value -value (+value -value ...)

where name = any text string that describes the line style.

 centermode = 0 (do not) or 1 (do) center dash patterns between extents

 units = 1 (inches) or 2 (centimeters)

 +value = length of a dash (or dot) in the line style, in pixels. The + sign is optional. If you omit it, it is assumed.

 -value = length of the space following the dash or dot, in pixels.

Continue to specify dash and space values until you have completed one cycle of the line pattern. Omit parentheses when doing so.

Example

3. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.

When you restart Imagenation, the styles that you defined will appear in the Line and Frame lists.
