Configuring remote faxing

Through the Image.ini file, you can define the remote fax parameters. You fax images remotely using the File image\lgarrow_shg.gif Fax command. This remote fax must use a faxing program, provided by you or an integrator, to actually process the fax.

To configure remote faxing:

1. Open the Image.ini file in a text editor.

2. Find the [Fax] section. image\tip_shg.gif Tip

In the [Fax] section:

3. Type the Exec= keyname. After the equal sign (=), type the directory path of the remote faxing program you are using. For example, Exec=C:\Makefax\Makefax.exe. You, or an integrator, must provide the fax program that you are using.

4. Find the Server Dir= keyname. After the equal sign, type the path of the temporary file directory. For example, Server Dir=C:\Temp.

5. If you want faxes to be centered, find the Center= keyname. After the equal sign, type 1.

6. If you are tiling faxes, you can define the amount by which the edges of the tiles will overlap. In the Margin keynames, set the values required, in inches.

7. Save the Image.ini file, and close it.

When you restart Imagenation, the remote faxing options defined will take effect. All other keynames in the [Fax] section can be set through the FAX Send dialog box (though several are not saved for future sessions).
