Imagenation's installation routine may discover that the system files are locked by the operating system. This means that some (or all) of the system DLLs are already being used by another program. Therefore, at the end of the install, you are prompted to reboot the computer to update the system.
If the installation program detects newer versions of the system DLLs in the Windows system directory, they are not overwritten.
