Use the [Print] section keynames to set printing defaults and troubleshoot printing problems. For an explanation of the print options set in the user interface, click the Help button in the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print).

Alternate Stretch Mode=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether translucent or transparent rasters are printed. Some print drivers fail on the attempt to print these.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = normal printing
	1 = do not print translucent or transparent rasters

Annotations=integer

Purpose	Defines how a document's annotations will appear when the document is printed.
To Change	Use the "Annotations" list in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	1 = All Hidden
	2 = As Icons
	3 = As Text
	4 = As Displayed

Aspect Correction=scale-factor

Purpose	When printing at actual size, scales the image in the horizontal direction only.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Value	Any scale factor

Banner=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether a Banner is displayed.
To Change	Use the Header or Footer check boxes in the Banner category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Banner tab).
Values	0 = do not display a Banner.
	1 = display a Banner.
Default	0

Bilevel=0 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

Purpose	Defines the color level of the printed image.
To Change	Use the color level list, located under the "Rasterize" check box, in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = Color
	1 = Bilevel
	2 = Bilevel (enhanced)
	3 = Bilevel (CAD)
	4 = Bilevel (diffusion dithered)

Center=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether the image is centered on the page when printing.
To Change	Use the "Center" check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = do not center the image.
	1 = center the image.
Default	1

Color Management = 0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether color management is enabled for printing. Color management converts colors according to defined color profiles, resulting in colors that are the same regardless of output device.
To Change	Use the Color Management check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = disable color management (no color conversion will be performed when printing)
	1 = enable color management
Default	0

Copies=number, 0 | 1

Purpose	Defines the number of copies to print and whether to collate the copies.
To Change	Use the "Copies" group in the Print category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print).
Values	number = Number of copies to print
	0 = do not collate.
	1 = collate.
Default	1, 0

Default Paper Size = 0 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 13 | 14

Purpose	When Enable Automatic Paper Selection is set to 1, defines a default paper size for automatic paper selection. If Enable Automatic Paper Selection is not set, this keyname is ignored.
	The Default Page Size is used when the document area to print does NOT fit one of the Letter, Legal, 11x17, A2, A3, A4, or A5 paper sizes, adjusted by tolerance.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = use the first paper size in the Paper Size list of the Print dialog box
	1 = Legal
	2 = Letter
	4 = 11x17
	13 = A3
	14 = A4

DIN19052-4 Tiling Overlap X= value

Purpose	Defines the width of the overlapped area during a DIN19052 tiled print. See Print Tiling Option for details.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	Integer values greater than 100, in mm

Notes	1. This keyname value can be overwritten by an API integration.
	2. DIN tiling only works with drawings larger than size A0 (33.11 x 46.81 inches).
	3. Banners are disabled when using DIN tiling.

DIN19052-4 Tiling Overlap Y= value

Purpose	Defines the length of the overlapped area during a DIN19052 tiled print. See Print Tiling Option for details.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	Integer values greater than 100, in mm
Default	100

Notes	1. This keyname value can be overwritten by an API integration.
	2. DIN tiling only works with drawings larger than size A0 (33.11 x 46.81 inches).
	3. Banners are disabled when using DIN tiling.

Dither Value=value

Purpose	Defines the dither contrast value for printing.
To Change	Use the Brightness Bar in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	Can range from Dark (-50) to Light (150).

Notes	1. This value is used by BilevelCAD, BilevelEnh, and BilevelDithered print profiles.
	2. The Brightness Bar also controls the Threshold Value setting.

Enable Automatic Paper Selection = 0 | 1

Purpose	Automatically sets paper size for printing if the document area to print matches, within defined tolerances, one of Letter, Legal, 11x17, A2, A3, A4, or A5 paper sizes. If the document size does not match one of these sizes, then the paper size defaults to Default Paper Size or, if Default Paper Size is not set, defaults to Letter.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = do not use automatic paper selection
	1 = enable automatic paper selection

Hotspots=integer

Purpose	Defines how a document's hotspots will appear when the document is printed.
To Change	Use the "Hotspots" list in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	1 = All Hidden
	5 = Icons Hidden
	4 = As displayed
Default	4

Loaded Color Profile = directory-and-file-name

Purpose	Defines the path and filename of the last color profile added for printing.
To Change	Use the "Add" button in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	Any valid color profile file and path.
Default	none

Margins=top, bottom, left, right, units

Purpose	Defines the margins (using the current system units) surrounding your printed document.
To Change	Use the "Margins" group in the Page category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Page tab).

Merge=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether vector images and text documents are temporarily converted into rasters before printing them.
To Change	Use the "Rasterize" check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = do not rasterize before print.
	1 = rasterize before print.
Default	0

Minimum Text Width=0 | 1 | -1 | -2, size, units

Purpose	Defines the minimum width used for printing stroke fonts such as Roman.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = no minimum text width defined
	1 = text width defined in this setting is used
	-1 = text width defined by the "Minimum Output Text Width" keyname in the [System] section is used
	-2 = text width defined in this setting will also apply to printed lines
	size = minimum width to use for printing stroke fonts
	units = pels \| in \| ft \| cm \| mm \| m \| twips \| pts

Minimum Vector Width=0 | 1, size, units

Purpose	Defines whether a minimum vector width for printed documents is specified and what that minimum width is.
To Change	Use the "Minimum Vector Width" check box and settings in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = do not use a minimum vector width.
	1 = use a minimun vector width
	size = size of minimum width
	units = units of measurement

Mode=integer

Purpose	Defines how the images are oriented on print.
To Change	Use the "Orientation" group in the Page category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Page tab).

	4 = Best Fit
	8 = Minimum Length
	16 = As Set by Printer Driver

Number Of Bands = 0 | 1 | 2 | ¼ | 100

Purpose	Sets the number of bands per page used for printing.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = Automatic banding, so the most efficient number of bands is used.
	1 = No banding is used, so each page is printed as a single band.
	2-100 = Specified number of bands is used for each page.

Old Print Ver=0 | 1

Purpose	This keyname defines which remote printing version to use (if any): Command Line or Command File.
	With Command File, Imagenation creates a file that includes all of the parameters, and runs a command line consisting of an executable name followed by the command file name. This interface allows for printing of multiple pages in documents.
	With Command Line, when a print is requested to a custom device, Imagenation assembles and runs a command line consisting of an executable name followed by a fixed and ordered list of parameters.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	0 = Command File interface
	1 = Command Line interface
Default	None, which implies the Command File interface.

Page Range = 0 | 1 | 2

Purpose	Defines which pages to print.
To Change	Use the "Page Range" section in the Print category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Print tab).

	1 = Pages
	2 = Current

Pen Mask Table=directory-and-file

Purpose	Defines the pathname of the pen mask table.

Printer=printer-name

Purpose	Defines the printer to use.
To Change	Use the "Name" list under "Printer" in the Print category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print).

Print Range=integer

Purpose	Defines which part of each page to print.

Print Tiling Option= 0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether the DIN19052 Part 4 tiling option for printing is available in the user interface. When enabled, this option appears in the Print dialog box, in the Options category (File $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options).

Values	0 = Standard tiling only
	1 = DIN19052 Part 4 tiling and Standard tiling are both available

Print To File=0 | 1, filename

Purpose	Defines whether the document is stored on disk as a PostScript file, rather than sent to a printer.
To Change	Use the "Print to file" check box in the Print category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Print tab).
Values	0 = do not print to file.
	1 = print to file.
Default	0,

Scale Correction=scale-factor

Purpose	When printing at actual size, scales the image in the horizontal and vertical directions.

Scale Type=integer

Purpose	Defines how the image is scaled on print.
To Change	Use the "Scale" list in the Print category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Print tab).
Values	2 = Actual Size
	8 = Actual Size or Fit
	64 = Fit to Length
	32 = Fit to Width
	16 = No Scaling
	1 = To Fit
	4 = To Half Page

Selected Color Profile = directory-and-file-name

Purpose	Defines the currently selected color profile for printing.
To Change	Use the Printer Profile list in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).

Server Dir=directory-path

Purpose	Defines the directory used for creating temporary files in the remote printing process. If undefined, Imagenation uses the directory the document was found in. If that is a read-only directory, printing will fail.
To Change	Edit the Image.ini file.
Values	Any directory path that the user has write permissions to.

Threshold Value=0 | 1 | 2 | & | 255

Purpose	Defines which color should be printed and which color should not. The darkest setting (255) will ensure all colors are printed.
To Change	Use the Brightness Bar in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	Can range from Light (0) to Dark (255).
Default	255

Notes	1. This value is used by Bilevel print only.
	2. The Brightness Bar also controls the Dither Value setting.

Tile=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether the print prints the entire image on as many pages as required.
To Change	Use the "Tile" check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = do not tile image.
	1 = tile image.
Default	0

Note	This option appears dimmed if "To Fit" or "To Half Page" options are selected in the Scale list of the Print category.

Use Small Buffer=0 | 1

Purpose	Defines whether the print buffer size allocated for storing decompressed data during a print job is overridden.
To Change	Use the "Use Small Print Buffer" check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File $image\lgarrow_shg.gif$ Print, Options tab).
Values	0 = do not use small print buffer.
	1 = use small print buffer.
