Use the [Print] section keynames to set printing defaults and troubleshoot printing problems. For an explanation of the print options set in the user interface, click the Help button in the Print dialog box (File image\lgarrow_shg.gif Print).

Alternate Stretch Mode=0 | 1

Purpose

Defines whether translucent or transparent rasters are printed. Some print drivers fail on the attempt to print these.

To Change

Edit the Image.ini file.

Purpose

Purpose

Purpose

Defines the color level of the printed image.

Color Management = 0 | 1

Purpose

Defines whether color management is enabled for printing. Color management converts colors according to defined color profiles, resulting in colors that are the same regardless of output device.

To Change

Use the Color Management check box in the Options category of the Print dialog box (File image\lgarrow_shg.gif Print, Options tab).

0 = disable color management (no color conversion will be performed when printing)

 

1 = enable color management

Purpose

Defines the number of copies to print and whether to collate the copies.

Purpose

When Enable Automatic Paper Selection is set to 1, defines a default paper size for automatic paper selection. If Enable Automatic Paper Selection is not set, this keyname is ignored.

 

The Default Page Size is used when the document area to print does NOT fit one of the Letter, Legal, 11x17, A2, A3, A4, or A5 paper sizes, adjusted by tolerance.

To Change

Edit the Image.ini file.

0 = use the first paper size in the Paper Size list of the Print dialog box

 

1 = Legal

Enable Automatic Paper Selection = 0 | 1

Purpose

Automatically sets paper size for printing if the document area to print matches, within defined tolerances, one of Letter, Legal, 11x17, A2, A3, A4, or A5 paper sizes. If the document size does not match one of these sizes, then the paper size defaults to Default Paper Size or, if Default Paper Size is not set, defaults to Letter.

Purpose

This keyname defines which remote printing version to use (if any): Command Line or Command File.

 

With Command File, Imagenation creates a file that includes all of the parameters, and runs a command line consisting of an executable name followed by the command file name. This interface allows for printing of multiple pages in documents.

 

With Command Line, when a print is requested to a custom device, Imagenation assembles and runs a command line consisting of an executable name followed by a fixed and ordered list of parameters.

Purpose
