The [File] section keynames define the default loading, rendering, and saving of documents. While most can be set in the Imagenation user interface, you modify some by editing the Image.ini file directly.

Purpose Defines which DWG and DXF entities are to be indexed and highlighted in Imagenation.
To Change Edit the Image.ini file.
Values OFF = no indexing
STEXT = index Text entities
MTEXT = index Mtext entities
ATTRIB = index Attribute entities
ATTDEF = index Attribute Definition entities
BLOCK = index Block entities
ALL = index all of the entities listed above

Note Entities on frozen layers will be highlighted if they are included in the display. The Imagenation INI setting "DXF Remove Frozed Objects = 1" will cause entities on frozen layers to not be displayed, therefore no highlighting will occur if this INI file option is set.
Purpose When searched for text is found in any entity, the highlight marker corresponding to that entity will blink. This keyname sets the blink rate for the indexing highlight in milliseconds.

Purpose Sets the color for the indexing highlight.

Purpose Defines at what resolution WMF files are displayed when no raster image is present on the page. (When a raster image is present, its resolution is used if Use Raster Mapping on Vector Load=1 in this section.)

Purpose Defines what type of automatic scaling is used with DGN files. You could change this value to improve the alignment of markups on DGN files that were created in previous releases of Imagenation. Otherwise, the best results are obtained by using the default value (2).

Purpose Defines whether a 3D DGN file displays in a single page or a multipage.
To Change Edit the Image.ini file.
Values 0 = display DGN files in a single page. A DGN v8 document may contain multiple models. If this is the case, one view (View 1 of the default model) is displayed on a single page.
1 = display DGN files in multipage format.
Default 1

Purpose Defines whether a 3D DGN v8 file displays all available views. This keyname is ignored if the DGN Multipage keyname (above) is not set.

Values 0 = do not show each view on its own page. For a DGN v8 document containing multiple models, a single view of each model is displayed in a multipage format.
1 = show each view on its own page. For a DGN v8 document containing multiple models, all views of all models will be displayed in a multipage format (one view per page).

Purpose Disable speed optimizations for opening JPEG files. These optimizations may reduce the quality of the JPEG image.

Values 0 = Use JPEG optimization. File will load more quickly.
1 = Do not use JPEG optimization. JPEG files will load more slowly but will display with increased detail.

Note The setting will not affect Progressive (encoded) JPEG or JPEG 2000 files.

1 = Display Bounding Box - display entire page with a dashed border identifying the bounded object

Purpose Defines whether a DWG file displays in single or multipage view.

Values 0 = loads a DWG file as a single page document. The single page displayed is always the last "layout" used when saving the DWG file in AutoCAD.
1 = loads a DWG file as a multipage document. Each "layout" (model or paper space) used when saving the DWG file in AutoCAD is displayed as a page in Imagenation. For Pre-R15 files, the model space page is displayed first, followed by the last "layout" page. For R15 files, the model space page is displayed, followed by the remaining "layout" pages in sequential order.

Purpose Defines what type of automatic scaling is used with AutoCAD (DXF and DWG) files. You could change this value to improve the alignment of markups over AutoCAD files that were created in previous releases of Imagenation. Otherwise, the best results are obtained by using the default value (2).

Values 0 = use the pre-Release 5.1 auto scale mode. This may result in the inability to fit AutoCAD images accurately to the selected paper size.
1 = use the Release 5.1 auto scale mode. This can sometimes result in display problems.

This setting also affects the "File Send" as PDF format for both the PDF AddOn and non-AddOn product.
To Change Edit the Image.ini file.
Values PDF version numbers from 1.0 to 1.6 (or the latest supported PDF version). If the value is out of this range, the most recent PDF version will be used. If the value is less than 1.3, then the version of the saved file will always be 1.3.

Purpose Enables or disables the use of the PDF Add-on library for parsing and rendering PDF documents.

Values 0 = The "Use PDF Add-on" option is enabled. The PDF Add-on is enabled and the document is parsed and rendered using the PDF Add-on library.
1 = The "Use Native PDF" option is enabled. The PDF Add-on is disabled and the document is parsed and rendered using Native PDF support, not the PDF Add-on library.
2 = The "Use Threshold-Based Switching" option is enabled. The PDF Add-on is enabled. Parsing and rendering depends on the bilevel raster area threshold set by the PDF Library Threshold keyname:
• If, on the first page of the document, the area of the largest bilevel raster is greater than the percentage area set in the PDF Library Threshold, the document is parsed and rendered using Native PDF support.
• If, on the first page of the document, the area of the largest bilevel raster is less than the percentage area set in the PDF Library Threshold, the document is parsed and rendered using the PDF Add-on library.
Note: The bilevel raster area is calculated by finding the largest sized raster and calculating the ratio of raster size to page size.
