[COLD Formatting]

The [COLD Formatting] section keynames define the appearance of OTG and TWCOLD format images.

These keynames can also be set through the Imagenation API or the Image a•X controls. For more information on that, refer to the SetFormatAttribute call in the OLE Automation, DDE API, or C API Help, or to the related properties in the Configuration Control section of the Image a•X Help.

Characters Per Inch=integer

Purpose

Specifies the width of the characters in the file in characters per inch. For example, if the Characters Per Inch=10, then the character width is one-tenth of an inch.

To Change

Use the "Characters Per Inch (Width)" scroll box under "Text Size" in the COLD category (Preference image\lgarrow_shg.gif Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format, COLD).

Values

Any integer specifying number of characters per inch

Default

10

All except Office editions and Scan-View-Edit.

L

Left Offset=floating-point-number

Purpose

Defines the size of the left margin, in the units specified by the "Units" box (inches, millimeters, or lines).

To Change

Use the "Left" scroll box under "Margins" in the COLD category (Preference image\lgarrow_shg.gif Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format, COLD).

Values

Any value in units specified

Lines Per Inch=integer

Purpose

Specifies the height of the characters in the file in tenths of an inch. For example, if the Lines Per Inch=10, then the character height is one-tenth of an inch.

To Change

Use the "Lines Per Inch (Height)" scroll box under "Text Size" in the COLD category (Preference image\lgarrow_shg.gif Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format, COLD).

Values

Any integer specifying number of characters per inch

Overlay Filename=directory-path

Purpose

Defines the name and path of the background image behind a COLD document.

To Change

Use the "File Name" text box under "Use Form Overlay" in the COLD category (Preference image\lgarrow_shg.gif Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format, COLD).

Values

Any valid pathname

Editions

All except Office editions and Scan-View-Edit.

Overlay Type=1 | 2

Purpose

Defines whether a selected background image is placed behind every page of a COLD document.

To Change

Use the "Use Form Overlay" check box in the COLD category (Preference image\lgarrow_shg.gif Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format, COLD).

Values

1 = Do not use Form Overlay

2 = Use Form Overlay

Top Offset=floating-point-number

Purpose

Defines the size of the top margin, in the units specified by the "Units" box (inches, millimeters, or lines).

Purpose

Defines the unit type used for setting margins.
