Internet Explorer automatically loads an applicable plug-in, such as Spicer's IE Plug-in, based on MIME type and file extensions. If two or more plug-ins supporting the same MIME types have been installed, the most recently installed plug-in will be used to open files of that MIME type. You cannot choose between installed plug-ins.
In Internet Explorer, the Spicer Plug-in includes an About dialog box

) to provide file information. The About dialog box
identifies the name of the Plug-in and the version number.)
The Internet Explorer Plug-in can be initialized by two types of images:
