You can change the resolution of a raster image, with or without resizing it at the same time.
To change the active raster's resolution:
1. Choose Raster ® Resize.
In the Resize dialog box, under Resolution:
2. Select the Override Current Resolution check box.
3. To keep the horizontal and vertical resolutions the same, select the Identical Resolutions check box. To allow differences, clear the check box.
4. Type or select the horizontal resolution for the new image. For advice, click Resolution tips.
5. If the Identical Resolutions check box is cleared, type or select a vertical resolution value.
6. You can also change the new image's size. For details, click Resizing a raster.
7. Click OK.
A progress indicator appears. The new image is of the resolution (and size) that you specified.
