You can change the size of a raster image.
Smaller images take less disk space, and are faster to load, but they lose some detail.
To resize the active raster image:
1. Choose Raster ® Resize.
In the Resize dialog box, under Size:
2. From the list, select the size for the new raster. For details, click Size options.
3. Decide if you want to Preserve Aspect. Select this check box to maintain aspect ratio.
4. If you have selected Custom:
· If Preserve Aspect is selected, you can type a scale factor for the new image. (For example, type 0.500 to make it half the original's size.)
or
· You can type or select the length of the new image. If Preserve Aspect is selected, the width is automatically defined. If Preserve Aspect is cleared, you can also type or select the new width.
5. You can also change the image's resolution. For details, click Changing a raster's resolution.
6. Click OK.
A progress indicator appears as the image is resized.
