Installing color profiles

Color profiles can be embedded in documents or can sometimes be obtained from device manufacturers or software vendors. Adobe Systems Inc. provides a set of ICC color profiles in a downloadable file at http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=62&platform=Windows

To install a color profile:

1. Download and save the profile to a temporary folder on your hard drive.

In Windows Explorer:

2. Browse to the directory containing the color profile.

3. Right click on the file and choose Install profile.

The profile is installed to the color directory in your Windows system folder and will appear in the appropriate Color Profile list within the Adobe PDF/PS category of the Format Preferences dialog box (Preference g Options, $image\plus_shg.gif$ Format).
