If you are viewing an image that you know (or suspect) contains erased areas, but you are having trouble seeing where, use the Erase Outlines check box. Typically this is cleared in the View Preferences dialog box, but you can select it in View Options to locate erases on the current page.

To find erases on the current page:

1. Choose View Ž Options.

In the View Options dialog box:

2. Click the Show tab.

3. Select the Erase Outlines check box. Click OK or Set All.

Erased areas and rubouts on the page are displayed as cross-hatches:

Selecting the Erase Outlines check box also moderately speeds up page scrolling and zooming.
