Imagenation offers a broad selection of drawing tools. Common questions and problems concerning them are listed below.

I cannot select the tools...

The current page must not contain an active edit layer.

To activate an edit layer, either create one using image\cmlayera_shg.gif Layer ® New, or activate an existing one through the Layers window.

What if I make a mistake while drawing an object?

While still drawing, use the ESC key to cancel what you have already placed. Right after drawing an object, use Edit ® Undo to remove it. You can also delete objects by selecting them (Group ® Select) and pressing the DELETE key. Use other Group menu commands to modify objects.

How can I tell which tool is active?

The active tool is checked in the Tool menu, and its button is depressed. For some tools, the pointer shape changes to help guide you as you draw the object.

An active tool stays active until you deactivate it or activate another document window.

How do I deactivate a tool?

To deactivate a tool, either choose another tool, or choose the active tool command or button again.

The objects seem to move after I magnify or rasterize the image...

That can happen unless you placed the objects when the page was displayed at a 1:1 scale factor.

Use the CTRL+1 key combination to display the page at 1:1. You can also use the Detail window as a guide while drawing.
