You can copy an area of the image. The shape and behavior of Cut/Copy areas is defined in the Cut/Copy category: Edit Preferences or Edit Options dialog box.

To copy an area of an image:

1. If the Apply to Active Raster Only check box is selected in Edit Preferences, make sure that an active raster layer appears on the page.

2. image\cmcopy_shg.gif Choose Edit ® Copy.

The pointer changes to: image\copy_cursor_shg.gif

3. Draw the copy area in the selected shape. For details, click Drawing shapes.

The area is copied to the Clipboard. The Copy command is no longer active.
