Certain templates define how ASCII text documents are rendered--that is, what font, page size, tab size, and other options are used to display them. Several ASCII templates are shipped with Imagenation. You can change which one is used.

To select a different ASCII template file:

1. Choose Preference Ž Options, $image\plus_shg.gif$ File.

2. Click Formatted Text.

3. Click Browse.

4. In the ASCII Template dialog box, select the RTF template file to use. The templates (and a Readme file explaining each) may be located in C:\Open Text\Image\Template (in Windows). For details, click Selecting files.

Click OK.

5. In the File Preferences dialog box, click Save. Click OK.

6. To apply the selected template to the active ASCII text document, close the document and reopen it.

The template is used when displaying the active and future ASCII text documents.
