image\plnshadw_shg.gif Resolution tips

You can change the resolution of an image as you rasterize or resize it.

If you increase the resolution value from the original value, the file size becomes bigger, but the image does not necessarily get sharper. Increasing the resolution can be a good idea, however, when you are rasterizing a color or grayscale image to bilevel dithered, or when you are enlarging an image.

To reduce the size of the new file, you can lower the resolution value. However, doing this makes the new image fuzzier and less detailed than the original.
