The Measurements category of the View Preferences dialog box (Preference ® Options,
View, Measurements) defines the appearance of the Measurements window. The selections in this category apply immediately to the Measurements window.
defines which tool is used by default for measuring. The default tool is indicated with a gray check mark in the right mouse button menu.
defines how many places after the decimal point are displayed for each value in the Measurements window: from one (0.0) to four (0.0000).
when selected, markers appear on vector objects as you move your cursor over the points defined in the Settings. When you trace along the line or area to measure, the product will calculate the closest marker and snap to it to produce greater measuring accuracy.
opens the Snap to Object dialog box for setting the types of marker objects, spacing, and marker size and color.
The Show section defines what information is displayed in the Measurements window. Select the check boxes of the options that you want to display. For an explanation of these options, click Measurements window.
