The Rubout category of the Edit Options dialog box (Edit Ž Options, Rubout) defines attributes of rubout lines for the active edit layer for the current session only.

The Rubout category of the Edit Preferences dialog box (Preference Ž Options, $image\plus_shg.gif$ Edit) defines attributes of rubout lines for future edit layers for the current and future sessions. It does not affect the active edit layer.

The Rubout category of the Attributes dialog box (Group Ž Change Attributes, Rubout) changes the appearance of the selected rubout lines.
