Use this category (Preference ® Options,
Format ® Adobe PDF/PS) to select the default settings the program uses when loading Adobe PDF and PostScript files. Click Save and click OK for the changes to take effect. Changes will not affect any currently opened documents.
lists the password required for opening PDF files (if any). Enter up to 32 characters.
defines a region of a page or document. There are three options for displaying the Bounding Box:
when selected, displays the page normally.
when selected, displays the entire page, with a dashed border identifying the bounded object.
when selected, only the data within the Bounding Box is displayed.
when selected, displays popup annotations. When you place your cursor over an annotation object, the pointer changes to
. Double click the annotation object and a dialog box appears displaying the annotation text.
when selected, sets a predefined page size for PostScript documents. The available sizes are based on options in the Page Size category of the System Preferences dialog box (Preference g Options,
System, Page Size).
Objects on the page are clipped to the page size. Anything outside the selected page size is not displayed, but a warning message appears. You can increase the page size to display all the objects with positive coordinates, or clear the check box to display all the objects with positive and negative coordinates.
Some PostScript files may include internal definitions for page size. These internal definitions override the PS Page Size setting.
when selected, the PDF Add-On is used when loading a file. Available only if the PDF Add-on is installed.
when selected, the PDF Add-On is not used, even if it is available.
when selected, allows you to choose between the Add-On or Native PDF according to the type of data in the file you are loading.
