Use this category (Preference ® Options, $image\plus_shg.gif$ Format ® MicroStation DGN) to select the default settings the program uses when loading MicroStation DGN files. Click Save and click OK for the changes to take effect. Changes will not affect any currently opened documents.

Scaling

On open, MicroStation DGN images can be automatically scaled to E-size.

On import, they are scaled to fit over the raster image. If you prefer, you can disable automating scaling of MicroStation DGN images and define a specific scale factor for them. The exact effect of the scaling settings varies with the file format.

when selected, allows you to change the page size for loaded images to another value. (The default is E-size.)

Select the width and length and the units of measurement (in, ft, cm, or mm) from the list.

Display Overrides

Load

specifies whether the program will load the layers hidden when the DGN file was originally created.

All Layers

when selected, all layers of the file are loaded.

Displayed Layers

when selected, only the displayed layers are loaded.

Reference Search Path:

defines possible locations for the references contained in MicroStation DGN files.
