Use this category (Preference ® Options, image\plus_shg.gif Format ® COLD) to select the default settings the program uses when opening COLD files. Click Save and click OK for the changes to take effect. Changes will not affect any currently opened documents.

Layout

defines the text size and file margins.

Text Size

defines the text size.

Characters Per Inch (Width):

specifies the width of the characters in the file in characters per inch. For example, if the Characters Per Inch=10, then the character width is one-tenth of an inch.

Lines Per Inch (Height):

specifies the height of the characters in the file in tenths of an inch. For example, if the Lines Per Inch=10, then the character height is one-tenth of an inch.

Margins

defines the file margins.

Top:

defines the size of the top margin, in the units specified by the "Units" box (inches, millimeters, or lines).

Left:

defines the size of the left margin, in the units specified by the "Units" box (inches, millimeters, or lines).

Use Form Overlay

when selected, activates the selected background image that is placed behind every page of the COLD document. This image must be a raster file.

File Name:

defines the name and path of the background image.

Browse…

opens the File Name dialog box, in which you can select a background image.
