Use this dialog box to select the fonts to use as substitutes for the fonts that are contained in the original text or vector document and are unavailable on your system.

When opened through File Preferences (Preference Ž Options, $image\plus_shg.gif$ File, Fonts), the font substitutions are stored as the default for subsequent text documents, but applied immediately to the active vector document.

When opened through the Page menu (Page Ž Fonts), the substitution applies immediately to the active text document, but cannot be used for vector documents.

List of Fonts:

Page Preferences: Lists the unavailable fonts contained in the active text document.

File Preferences: Lists the unavailable fonts saved as system defaults, plus those in the active vector document.

Click the name of the font to replace.

Delete

deletes the substitution of the selected font. (Times New Roman at 1.0 scaling is used for display purposes.)

Global

appears in Page Preferences only. Copies the substitution of the selected font to the File Preferences dialog box to be used for future text and vector documents.

Font Substitution

defines the attributes of the substituted font.

Substitute:

lists all available fonts. Select the one to use.

Scale X:

defines how much to scale the original text width.

Scale Y:

defines how much to scale the original text height.
