Using the Minimum Distance tool

You can measure minimum distances between entities on the 3D model.

To measure minimum distance on a 3D model:

1. Choose 3D ® 3D Measurement Tools.

2. In the Select Tool list, choose Minimum Distance.

3. Select Units to use.

4. In the left side list of the Select Entity section, choose the position to measure from. Choose either:

· Vertex

· Edge

· Face

· Part

5. On the 3D model, click points to measure.

6. In the right side list of the Select Entity list, repeat steps 4 and 5.

The minimum distance is displayed.

7. Choose Reset to perform another measurement.
