You can move an individual part, multiple parts, or an entire 3D model along the specified axis. By default, the selected parts move by one unit. You can also define custom translations.
Click Reset in the Transformations window to return the selected part or model to its original position. Note that only highlighted parts will return to their original position. If there are no parts highlighted, the entire model will return to its original position.
To translate a part:
1. Choose 3D ® Model Explorer.
In the Model Explorer:
2. Select the part or parts to translate. For details, click Highlighting parts and faces for details.
3. Choose 3D ® Transformations.
In the Transformations window:
4. Select an axis.
5. In the Translate section, click:

to move the part negatively.

to move the part positively.
To translate a part using custom values:
In the Model Explorer:
1. Select the part or parts to translate. For details, click Highlighting parts and faces.
In the Transformations window:
2. Click Custom.
In the Custom Transformations dialog box:
3. Select Translate.
Under Distances:
4. Type the new translation distance for one or more axes.
5 Click Translate.
The values are not saved after the dialog box is closed.
