You can rotate the 3D model within the active window to view a specific part of the model. You can either rotate the model freely, or you can rotate the model around a specific axis by a configured amount.

 

To rotate the 3D model freely:

In 3D Model view:

1. image\rotatetool_shg.gif Choose 3D ® Free Rotate.

When the command is checked, the pointer changes to image\rotatemode_shg.gif for rotating the 3D model within the active window.

2. Drag the pointer in the direction you want the model to rotate.

 

To rotate the 3D model by a specific amount:

In 3D Model view:

·   Choose one of the 3D Rotate buttons to rotate the model around a specific axis by a configured amount. For details, click Configuring 3D Rotate Step.

The model rotates around the specified axis by the configured amount.
