3D Measurement Tools

The 3D Measurement Tools window (3D Ž 3D Measurement Tools) is a floating window that allows you to measure precise distances on a 3D model. The information in the window updates depending on which tool you select and as you measure areas or objects.

Select Tool

sets the measuring tool type.

Units

sets the units to measure with.

Active

sets whether the 3D Measurement Tools window is active or inactive. You must activate the window before you can use the tools.

Measure Distance Between

appears only for Distance tool. Sets the points to measure between.

Measurements

displays the measurement values. The information in this section updates as you select new tools or make new measurements.

Measured Edge Length

appears only for Edge Length tool. Displays the length of the measured edge.

Cumulative

appears only for Face Surface and Edge Length. Displays the total area of selected surfaces or the total length of selected edges.

Select Entity

appears only for the Arc, Angle, and Minimum Distance tools. Sets the arc, angle, or model part to measure.

Reset

deletes the currently displayed measurement values.
