You can highlight any number of parts and faces on the active 3D model. You can use the Model Explorer with the Transformations window to manipulate any part you have highlighted. For details, see Transforming a 3D model.

To select a part:

1. Choose 3D ® Model Explorer.

In the Model Explorer:

2. To highlight a part, click its name. To highlight more than one part, hold down the CTRL key and click the names of the parts.

1. Choose Select $image\3dselect_shg.gif$ (3D toolbar).

2. To highlight a part, click directly on the 3D model. To highlight more than one part, hold down the CTRL key and click the model parts.

The selected parts are highlighted.

To view a face:

1. Choose 3D ® Model Explorer.

In the Model Explorer:

2. Expand the part that contains the face you want to highlight by double-clicking on the part’s name.

3. To highlight a face, click its name. To highlight more than one face, hold down the CTRL key and click the names of the faces.

The selected faces are highlighted.
