The StartScan transaction brings up the Scan dialog box for the currently selected scanner and immediately starts scanning. Therefore, a scanner must be selected and the paper to scan must be staged before this transaction is used. Certain scan options can be changed as the scan proceeds--the same ones that could be changed if scanning were started through the user interface.

Remarks

StartScan fails is a document is already being scanned when the transaction is issued.
