This Help explains how to control Imagenation for Windows by calling DDE transactions and notifications through OLE Automation. Most DDE Requests, Executes, and Notifications can be invoked this way.
To get started with OLE Automation Help:
· In Windows 95/NT, click the Contents button.
· In Windows 3.1, click the Help Topics button.
And if necessary, click the Contents tab.
You can also find useful information in four other help files:
· Imagenation Help explains all of the user interface elements, such as dialog boxes, and how to work with the Imagenation interface. Installed with Imagenation.
· System Administrator Help covers all of the settings in the INI file (Image.ini by default). Installed with Imagenation.
· CFG Help covers all settings in the CFG file (Image.cfg by default). Available upon request or from the Spicer Corporation web site, (http://www.spicer.com) under Integration Tools.
· Imagenation Tool Comparison (IM_Tool_Comparison_*.xls) is located on the Imagenation installation CD. It lists each UI command, INI keyname, SRC/CFG keyname, DDE transaction, C function, and ActiveX method, and shows the equivalents in each.
Here are a few tips that will make this help file easier to read:
· Help graphics will look better on monitors with a resolution higher than 800x600. At lower resolutions, some pixels in the graphics may not display.
· The Help is designed to be viewed with Verdana, a Microsoft font. If you do not have this font installed on your computer, click here to download Verdana from the Microsoft Typography Web site (http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fontpack/default.htm).
