Saving documents

In some work environments, such as a scanning one, documents must be stored as raster images. This is difficult if edit layers are automatically added to pages to allow markups and revision comments. In this case, you can use a keyname to rasterize images before they are saved.

To rasterize a document before saving it:

1. Open the SRC file in a text editor.

2. In the [System] section, type rasterize on save=. After the equal sign (=):

· Type 1 to rasterize a document before it is saved.

or

· Type 2 to unlock the "rasterize on save" keyname in the Imagenation INI file.

3. Save the SRC file and compile it. (For details, see Compiling a CFG file.)

If you cannot use the standard overwrite warning which appears when saving, you can use another one controlled by the CFG file.

To control the standard save warning:

1. Open the SRC file in a text editor.

2. In the [System] section, type allow message asking user to replace file on disk during save=1.

3. Save the SRC file and compile it. (For details, see Compiling a CFG file.)

A message will appear asking if you want to overwrite a file if one is already saved under that name.
