Configuring hotspot permissions

In the SRC file, you can set user permissions for hotspots. These permissions define whether users can:

· activate hotspots

· delete hotspots

· move, resize, or rotate hotspots, and edit hotspot data

The permissions offer your integration extra security. For example, you can place critical hotspots in documents, then use a CFG file that does not allow users to change or to delete them.

To configure hotspot permissions:

1. Open the SRC file in a text editor.

In the [System] section:

2. Type allow hotspots to be accessed=0 so that users cannot double-click hotspots to activate them. (By default, this keyname is set to 1.)

3. Type allow hotspots to be deleted=0 so that users cannot delete hotspots. (By default, this keyname is set to 1.)

4. Type allow hotspots to be modified=0 so that users cannot move, resize, or rotate hotspots, or edit hotspot data. (By default, this keyname is set to 1.)

5. Save the SRC file and compile it. (For details, see Compiling a CFG file.)

If you change the CFG files during an Imagenation session, both current and future hotspots are affected.

Note that when activating hotspots, the pointer changes. You can change the appearance of this pointer. For details, see Defining pointers.
