In an integrated database system, you can check documents into and out of the database using Imagenation. In the SRC file, you can configure a few aspects involved with checking in documents.
· Users can save the document to a local drive before it is checked in.
· You can have Imagenation note deleted layers until the document is checked in. The database system can then "read" this notation and know how the document was altered.
To configure the check in of documents:
1. Open the SRC file in a text editor.
In the [System] section:
2. Type perform save when checkin is done=1. This allows the user to save a document to a local drive through the Save As Document dialog box before it is checked in to the database system.
3. Type in the keep deleted layers until checkin=1 to have Imagenation note all deleted layers until the document is checked in.
4. Save the SRC file and compile it. (For details, see Compiling a CFG file.)
Another keyname related to checking in documents is "remove merged layers". It works similarly to the "keep deleted layers until checkin" keyname. For details, see Replacing active documents with new documents.
