Some keynames in the [System] section of the SRC file control how Imagenation operates, including the look of title bars, the definition of layer and vector object permissions, and the ability to configure the results of certain commands.

The keynames are listed in alphabetical order. To find a specific keyname, click a letter at the top of the page. As well, the procedures related to a specific keyname are listed in the "See also" field. For details on how to use that keyname, and to find other related keynames, click that procedure topic.

active edit layer in window title=0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether the phrase "Layer: label" appears at the end of the document window title bars when a page that contains an active edit layer is displayed.

Values 0 = Do not display the label of active edit layers.
1 = Display the label of active edit layers.

Default 1

Purpose Defines whether all types of layers are defined as special. You can define separate permissions for special layers.

Values 0 = Layer permissions are set for individual layer types.
1 = All layers are defined as special.

Purpose Controls the display of 3D user interface options, including Preference, Toolbars subcommands.

Values 0 = Disable the 3D interface options.
1 = Show the 3D interface options.

Purpose Defines whether you can double-click annotations to display them as text or as an icon.

Values 0 = Do not allow annotations to be double-clicked.
1 = Allow annotations to be double-clicked.

Notes This keyname changes the state of the program, and is not applied to specific edit layers or annotations.

The pointer normally changes shape to an annotation icon when passing over annotations. When this keyname is set to 0, the pointer does not change.

You can still use the View, Annotations, Maximize and View, Annotations, Minimize commands to display annotations as text or as icons even if this keyname is set to 0.

allow annotations to be deleted=0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether you can delete annotations.

Values 0 = Annotations cannot be deleted.
1 = Annotations can be deleted.

Purpose Defines whether the position of the pointer relative to the top and left of edges of raster images and text documents is displayed in the Status Bar.

Values 0 = Do not display the pointer coordinates.
1 = Display the pointer coordinates.

Purpose Defines whether the Display Settings category is displayed under 3D in the Preference Options dialog box. This keyname is ignored if allow 3D interface is not set.

Values 0 = Do not display the Display Settings category.
1 = Display the Display Settings cateogry.

allow edit prefs= 0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether the Edit category is available in the Preference Options dialog box (Preference $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Options).

Values 0 = Do not display the Edit category.
1 = Display the Edit category.

allow file prefs= 0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether the File category is available in the Preference Options dialog box (Preference $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Options).

Values 0 = Do not display the File category.
1 = Display the File category.

allow format prefs= 0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether the Format category is available in the Preference Options dialog box (Preference $image\arrow_shg.gif$ Options).

Values 0 = Do not display the Format category.

allow hotspots to be accessed=0 | 1

Purpose Defines whether you can double-click hotspots to activate them.

Values 0 = Hotspots cannot be double-clicked.

Purpose Defines whether a message appears that asks if you want to overwrite a file with the one that you are now saving. If you cannot use the regular save message, you can turn this one on instead.

Values 0 = Do not display the overwrite message.
1 = Display the overwrite message.

Purpose Defines whether text indicating what action is occurring in the program, such as "Drawing lines", appears in the Status Bar.

Purpose Defines whether you can zoom in to an area of an image when you click and drag the pointer while holding down the left mouse button.

1 = Enable left mouse button zoom.

Purpose Defines whether an edit layer is automatically placed on all pages. For example, if you rasterize all the layers on a page, an edit layer will automatically be placed on the new raster image.

Values 0 = Do not add edit layers automatically.
1 = Add edit layers automatically.
2 = Unlock the "automatically create edit layer on all pages" keyname in the Imagenation INI file so that the keyname can be controlled in that file.

Purpose Defines whether to ignore the rotation in a file’s header when loading it and to use a rotation of 0 degrees in its place.

2 = Unlock the "remove merged layers" keyname in the Imagenation INI file so that the keyname can be controlled from that file.
