Making the Help easier to use

This Help explains how to control Imagenation for Windows, Imagenation for UNIX, or Image a•X, with the CFG file.

The Imagenation CFG Help can be used on its own, but because the CFG file allows you to customize the Imagenation program and control settings in the INI file, and CFG settings are affected by DDE API, C API, and Image a•X commands, the following help files may also be of use:

· Imagenation Help (image.hlp) covers all of the user interface elements, such as dialog boxes, that you can customize with the CFG file. Installed with Imagenation.

· System Administrator Help (sysadmin.hlp) covers all of the settings in the INI file (Image.ini by default). Optionally installed with Imagenation.

· DDE API Help and C API Help (ddeapi.hlp, capi.hlp) covers programmatic ways of control the CFG file settings. Optionally installed with Imagenation.

· Imagenation Tool Comparison (im_tool_comparison_*.xls) is an MS Excel spreadsheet that compares the commands in all of the APIs and user interface elements. Optionally installed with Imagenation.

Here are a few tips that will make this help file easier to read:

· Help graphics look better on monitors with a resolution higher than 800x600. At lower resolutions, some pixels in the graphics may not display.

· The Help is designed to be viewed with Verdana, a Microsoft font.

· On UNIX, you may want to set the Help to Large Fonts display. The Large Fonts command is located in the Options menu of the main Help window.
