Choosing an edit layer type

You can only place certain vector objects on different types of edit layers. Use this list to select the type that best fits your requirements.

Full Edit layers have no restrictions; they support all vector objects.

Edit-type edit layers support all vector objects except annotations and hotspots.

Redline layers support all vector objects except annotations, highlighted areas, hotspots, rubouts, and erased areas. Filled vector objects must be transparent.

Hotspot layers support lines, arrows, sketches, polylines, arcs, and hotspots.

Annotation layers support arrows, text, annotations, highlights, and highlighted areas.
