Using symbols

You can select vector objects on an edit layer and save them out as symbols. Then, you can assign them to the Symbol tool so that you can repeatedly place these objects. Symbols usually have an .sbl extension, but you can also use many single-layer and single-page vector file types as symbols. The following topics provide detailed instructions.
